Intelligent Robotics: I have been interested in Computer Vision for quite some time, having an earlier background in image processing and pattern recognition. In more recent times my research interests have been in autonomous robotic vehicle navigation both indoors and out, including heavy duty tracked vehicles and water vessels. Localisation, environmental modelling and path planning are the essential components of such work, each application area calling for different solutions to each. In addition, I have an interest in robotic hand/eye coordination, swarm robotics and sensor-rich teleoperation. Other Areas: Robotic Humanoid Project Global Optimisation, Pattern Recognition, Image Processing, Virtual Reality.
